That's not entirely true. For Windows, there is no version of MPICH that is supported. Hi, Please note that upgrading the user who installs the software (Utilisateur) to an administrator is not enough to install MPICH2 correctly. You need to make sure that you install MPICH2 from an administrator command prompt (The MPICH2 installer's guide should have the details). Please follow the steps below to install MPICH2, # Uninstall any exising versions of MPICH2 on your system # Right-click on the Windows command prompt icon and select "Run as administrator" (Now you have an administrator command prompt) # From within the command prompt type "msiexec /i MPICH2-INSTALLER-FILE.msi" (Where MPICH2-INSTALLER-FILE.msi is the msi file downloaded from the MPICH2 website to install MPICH2) to install MPICH2. If you intend to use a debugger (because you're developing an application that uses MPI), you might find --enable-g=dbg useful, but --enable-g is total overkill for users.
