Problem in running parallel if two programs merged

Dear All, Take my greetings. I am new in mpich usage. I have problems in parallel run, when two fortran mpi programs are merged to one executable. If these two are separate, then they are running parallel. One program has used spmd and another one has used mpich header directly. Other issue is that while trying to run the above mentioned merged program in mpich, it's first started with separate parallel instances of same step and then after some steps it becomes serial. MPICH on TILE-Gx

I'm currently working on some performance numbers of MPICH 3.1.3 on the Tilera TILE-Gx platform. While direct support isn't indicated, I wanted to see what the performance profile would be for some of the core MPI functions. The barrier times, however, exhibit poor performance and high variance as the number of PEs scale up on this 36-core SMP device. I'm trying to focus this build specifically for SMP performance. Hi, Hajime, MPI spec also says "valuelen is the number of characters available in value". So it seems if you should pass valuelen = 4 if value is a buffer of 4 bytes. I am also confused by "In C, valuelen should be one less than the amount of allocated space to allow for the null terminator". So I leave the question for others. Interestingly, for MPI_Info_get_valuelen(), MPI spec says "The length returned in C does not include the end-of-string". It appears the system did not detect your Fortran compiler. You probably need to update your PATH environment to include the location of the Intel compilers. The Intel installer usually tells you how to modify your PATH after installation to do this. It involves running a script, which you can add to your shell's dotfile to run each time you login to the machine. Hi The issue you are seeing is due to missing fortran compiler. You can disable fortan build by passing options "--disable-f77" & "disable-fc", while configuring the build .i.e., to "./configure". Dear sir I'm a PhD student in Cardiff university(Wales,UK). I'm trying to install mpich3.1.3 but I have the attached message. I;m not professional in linux , so would you please tell me step by step how can I install it correctly. by the way I need fortran compiler so I installed ( parallel_studio_xe_2015_update1 ) and my fortran compiler ifort 15 and my system is Ubuntu 14.04.
