Last week, CELS was the ALD-ship with the fewest volunteers. I hope that we can do better.

REMINDER - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
On Saturday May 21, the lab will open its gates from 9am-4pm to more than 13,000 guests for the 2016 Argonne Open House. Free and open to the public, this event will feature interactive demos, exhibits and tours, and will give attendees a unique opportunity to interact with Argonne researchers and innovators.
The CELS Directorate will be represented by over a dozen interactive and hands-on exhibits located in the TCS Conference Center (room 1416), a viewing area outside the data center on the 2nd floor, and in the visualization lab on the 4th floor, as well as a tented area outside of Building 203.
While the actual exhibits will be staffed with experts from across CELS, we still have a strong need of approximately 25 additional general volunteers who are willing to serve one or more shifts on event day to ensure guest safety and to facilitate the flow of visitors in the building.
Ready to volunteer? Please contact Brian Grabowski, CELS Communications Lead (bgrabowski(a)anl.gov<mailto:[email protected]>) as soon as possible to sign up for one or more time shifts. You must have a badge and be an employee, post doc or current student to serve as a general volunteer.
Thank you in advance for your help in making the 2016 Argonne Open House a safe, fun and educational event for our guests, staff and families.
Regards,
-Rick, Robin and Mike
