Today is my last day in the lab as a Division Director. While I expect to come back periodically, this is a good occasion to thank all of you that made my five years here so rewarding. A director is only as good as the division he directs is. I enjoyed working for five years with a strong, talented and dedicated team of researchers, specialists and administrators. I enjoyed helping this team make MCS a better place: A better place to work and a better place to push for excellence and impact in research.
The push for excellence and impact never stops. As the lab plans to grow, as new opportunities open in computing, I expect the drive for a better MCS to continue. I am confident that the person that will replace me will find new ways to further MCS. I wish him and all of you continued success.
