Hello,
The Accelerated Climate Model for Energy (ACME) project is looking to
grow its staff in the area of performance engineering. Minimum of 33%
commitment needed and more is possible.
If you are current Argonne staff (including postdocs) and interested in
joining ACME's performance group, please contact me. More info below.

ACME is looking for people who can do a mix of the following (in order
of priority):
Optimizing current models on current and soon-to-be-installed machines.
Need experience in one or more of threading, vectorization, GPU
acceleration. The MPAS models (ocean and sea-ice) are a particular need
area. All codes are Fortran.
Point of contact for one or more of the current computing centers (LCFs
and NERSC). Monitor the nightly testing and work with developers to fix
problems. Perform periodic performance benchmarks.
Performance research. Based on knowledge of future architecture trends,
research and prototype more innovate and less incremental
performance-related changes to ACME and its underlying algorithms.
