All- Attached is a link for an initiative that is being stood up by OSTP: http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/microsites/ostp/materials_gen… The document outlines a framework for accelerating the materials continuum via M&S and mentions a few key areas applicable to DOE. It complements the work that the Fuels and FMM folks have been pursuing and I plan to meet with some of the NEET materials folks as well as a few EERE POCs in the coming weeks to see how NEAMS can play a part in any future activities. NEAMS-NEUP integration

PMT, Jim and I developed this draft NEAMS-NEUP integration document with the aim to maximize NEAMS' return on investment from various NEUP projects. Seeking NRC contacts

I'd like to collect some baseline information about who in NEAMS already has had interactions with the NRC. I know there have been a couple of meetings, and perhaps more casual interactions. I'm interested both in NRC contacts people have in the context of the NEAMS program, AND contacts outside the NEAMS context. I would like to know: a) the name and email address of the NEAMS participant b) the name of the NRC person c) the office the NRC person belongs to (if known) d) whether the contact has been NEAMS related or for other projects. I would appreciate it if you could pass this request to your teams and have them respond directly to me by FRIDAY 22 JULY, that would be great. Thanks! -- David E. Planning packages

All, Just a quick reminder that HQ, Hussein and I need to receive your planning packages by Noon (EDT) Thursday, August 4. Given the maturity of the discussions in Denver last week, this should be trivial for most of you. Your planning packages must include your site splits so that HQ can meet their own deadlines for FY12 distributions. Please send both items to Jessica Herrera. She will verify completeness and forward them to HQ. Finally, I will be on vacation (in the middle of an ocean without communications) from the evening of July 26 until the morning of August 11. Draft NEAMS CT Roadmap report

Thanks again to all of you for assisting with the NEAMS Capability Transfer planning process. Please find attached the DRAFT version of the workshop report and proposed roadmap for NEAMS capability transfer activities. Your corrections, questions, and comments are welcome. I'm including both the PDF and Word (w/ change tracking turned on) versions of the document. Please feel free to provide your feedback in whatever form is most convenient for you, including fax or phone. I would like to get this finalized quickly, so if possible, please send your feedback by COB Friday 1 July (before you go away for the holiday weekend). All- PRC has agreed to make themselves available in Denver to acclimate folks to the new system. They will be available the morning of the 12th before the our afternoon session as well as in the afternoon of the 13th after the morning session. Once a specific room/booth has been established (details will be provided on the final agenda), I encourage you all to stop by and take a quick tutorial. The new system is a vast improvement over its two predecessors and is designed to capture the entire planning process from the IPLs to the detailed work packages. Again, I hope you take the opportunity to demo the new system with an expert user. See you all in Denver!
