Renowned academics and industry pioneers will lecture and share their views with the audience. Most subareas of high performance computing will be displayed, from foundations, infrastructure and management to applications. Major challenges in the field will be identified through 2 keynote lectures, 24 five-hour and fifteen-minute courses, and 1 round table, which will tackle the most active and promising topics. The organizers are convinced that outstanding speakers will attract the brightest and most motivated students. Interaction will be a main component of the event. An open session will give participants the opportunity to present their own work in progress in 5 minutes. Moreover, there will be two special sessions with industrial and recruitment profiles. ADDRESSED TO: Master students, PhD students, postdocs, and industry practitioners will be typical profiles of participants. However, there are no formal pre-requisites for attendance in terms of academic degrees. Since there will be a variety of levels, specific knowledge background may be assumed for some of the courses. Overall, HighPer 2018 is addressed to students, researchers and practitioners who want to keep themselves updated about recent developments and future trends. All will surely find it fruitful to listen and discuss with major researchers, industry leaders and innovators. STRUCTURE: 3 courses will run in parallel during the whole event. IXPUG (Intel Xeon Phi Users Group) is a user community to share knowledge and experience on Intel Xeon Phi related computing. IXPUG Workshop HPC Asia 2018 is the first IXPUG Workshop in Asian region, as a part of International Conference HPC Asia 2018 held in Tokyo, Japan. This is a half day workshop with contributed papers and key note talks. Any research aspect related to Intel Xeon Phi is welcome to present to share this advanced technology for high performance computing. About one year has passed after the first Intel Xeon Phi standalone processor (Knights Landing architecture), and three supercomputers equipped with this processor ranked in TOP10 supercomputers in the world to provide several tens PFLOPS performance. The technology to apply this processor to practical applications are now on the stage of productive execution from past practical ones. In this IXPUG Workshop HPC Asia 2018, users of Intel Xeon Phi processors share the knowledge on how to use, optimize and perform the high end computation for the state of the art research. Supercomputing Asia (SCA) 2018 will encompass an umbrella of notable supercomputing events with the key objective of promoting a vibrant and relevant HPC ecosystem in Asian countries, and will be held from 26 to 29 March 2018 at Resorts World Convention Centre, Singapore. The technical program of SCA18 has its roots in Supercomputing Frontiers (SCF), which is Singapore’s annual international HPC conference inaugurated in 2015 by A*CRC, and now hosted by NSCC Singapore. SCF17 was attended by over 450 delegates from over 12 different countries. Riding on the success from the previous year, Supercomputing Frontiers will be rebranded as Supercomputing Frontiers Asia (SCFA), which serves as the technical program for SCA18. Supplementary materials that facilitate verification of the results, e.g., source code, proof details, etc., may be appended without a page limit or uploaded as separate files, but reviewers are neither required to read them nor will they be printed in the proceedings. Hence submissions must be complete, intelligible and self-contained within the 18 pages bound. Papers should have page numbers to facilitate their review. In LaTeX, this can be achieved for instance using \pagestyle{plain}. Each submission must be a single PDF file. Papers should present original research and should provide sufficient background material to make them accessible to the broader community. It should not be submitted in parallel to any other conference or journal. All manuscripts will be reviewed and judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, and significance, quality of presentation, and interest and relevance to the conference. ********************************************************************** *** Exascale Applications and Software Conference (EASC 2018) *** Edinburgh, UK. 17-19 April 2018 *** Extended deadline ********************************************************************** The deadline for one page abstract submission has been extended to the 11th of December. EASC is looking to bring together all stakeholders involved in solving the exascale challenge, and we are seeking novel contributions in all areas associated with applications, tools, software programming models and libraries, and other technologies necessary to exploit future exascale systems. There will also be an opportunity to submit papers to a special edition of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing and a prize for the best paper and for the best student contribution.
